JAMMU, Nov 29: A six day Happiness Programme of Art of Living as propounded by its founder world renowned spiritual leader and humanitarian Sri Sri Ravi Shankar concluded at Divisional Commissioner Jammu’s Office.
The programme was conducted for the employees of the Divisional Commissioner Office.
The Course Teacher Arunima Sinha while speaking on the occasion said that Government employees have faced tremendous stress due to the nature of their job and over the years tend to become unenthusiastic in their life.
She said that the Sudarshan Kriya is a unique breathing technique which brings enormous joy, a stress free mind, healthy body and blossom in life. She further said that powerful breathing technique infuses profound energy into our body and we experience elimination from stress.
The participants expressed their satisfaction about the six day course and hoped that these Yoga courses would be conducted in regular intervals for the enthusiasm of the employees. Some of them also shared their views and informed about the positive effects of the course experienced by them.
Arunima Sinha said that medical research indicates that the Sudarshan Kriya leads to reduction of cortisol (stress hormone), reducation of blood lactate levels, increase in prolactin (wellbeing hormones), increase in anti-oxidant enzyme levels and strengthened immune system etc.
