JAMMU, Nov 29: In order to revive and to give boost to the tourism industry in Jammu and Kashmir post floods, the Government has worked out a reassurance plan.
As a part of the same the Department of Tourism is at present participating in IITM Hyderabad from November 28 to 30, 2014.
A delegation comprising of Director Tourism Kashmir, Director Tourism Jammu, MD JKTDC and Joint Director Tourism Kashmir is participating in the IITM.
Various private tour operators from the state are also participating in the three day event.
The Department of Tourism is providing publicity material and other related information to the intending tourists.
A large number of people intending to come to J&K and various tour operators from across the country visited the tourism stall for getting information about the present tourism scenario in the State.
This is the first national travel mart the department is participating after the floods of September 2014. The department is also planning to take part in various National and International Trade Fairs like SATTEE New Delhi, TTF Mumbai and IITM Kolkata.
Organizing of FAM tours and tourism conventions are among the other components of the reassurance plan.
