14 injured in tempo-truck collision

JAMMU, Nov 29: A total of 14 persons were injured when a tempo carrying passengers collided head on with a truck at Thandapani area of Sunderbani in Rajouri, this morning.
According to a police spokesperson, the ill fated tempo bearing registration No JK02AS-1344 was on its way to Jammu to Rajouri when it collided head on with a truck (having registration No JK02AX-6596) coming from opposite direction near Thandapani in Sunderbani area of Rajouri district.
In the tragic mishap, 14 persons including tempo driver received injuries.
The injured have been identified as tempo driver, Shanker Lal (35), son of Sunder Dass, resident of Bantalab (Jammu), Mohd Ali, son of Munir Hussain, resident of Billawar, Zahoor Ahmed (20) son of Mohd Aslam, resident of Rajouri, Zameeda Bibi (45) wife of Mohd Aslam, resident of Argi (Rajouri), Mohd Aslam (52) son of Moha Shafi, resident of Argi, Salma Bibi (43) wife of Mohd Aslam of Argi, Pooja Sharma (14), daughter of Rattan Lal of Bela (Rajouri), Chanchala Sharma (40) wife of Rattan Lal of Bela, Mohd Taro (27) son of Mohd Abdullha, resident of Darhal (Rajouri), Kuldeep Raj (40) son of Balak Ram, resident of Rajouri, Munish Sharma son of Rattan Lal of Bela, Manvi Sharma (7) daughter of Rattan Lal of Bela, Razia Sultana daughter of Raidul Haq of Rajouri and Rattan Lal of Bela.
All the injured persons were immediately shifted by police in Sunderbani hospital from where in view of serious condition, Mohd Ali, Krishan Lal, Zahoor Ahmed, Zameeda Bibi, Salma Bibi and Mohd Aslam, were later shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where their condition was stated to be stable till the last reports came in.
The concerned police has taken cognizance of the matter.
Meanwhile, one Dhan Lal (60) son of Punu, resident of Ustad Mohalla, Jammu also got injured when the bike he was riding on was hit by a matador at Panama Chowk. A pedestrian namely Brij Lal (61) son of Desh Raj, resident of Shibu Chak (Bishnah) also received injuries when he was hit by a bike at Shibu Chak. Both the injured are undergoing treatment at GMCH Jammu. In both the cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
