JAMMU, Nov 30: Jammu Club organized a Book Exhibition and Felicitation Function to honour its esteemed members for their outstanding contribution in the field of Literature for writing books in different areas.
The programme was inaugurated by Vijay Bakaya, Ex-Chief Secretary and Member Legislative Council (MLC).
In the Book Exhibition, more than 1000 books written by various eminent writers of the country, including the esteemed members of Jammu Club were put on display.
Neera Singh, Chairperson, Library Committee, presented the welcome address.
The eminent authors including Dr Sudhir Singh Beloria, retd IAS, MM Khajuria, retd IPS, Shalinder Singh, KPS, Dr Nirmal Kamal, Neelu Rohmetra, Anuradha Basin, Advocate Balbir Singh Manhas, Advocate Dinesh Singh Chauhan, Advocate Rattan Lal Gupta, Divya Duheta Mahajan, Dr Rajiv Gupta, Abhimanyu Jamwal, Vickrant Mahajan, Dr YS Bedi and UC Dingra were felicitated by chief guest Vijay Bakaya.
While speaking, Vijay Bakaya asked the members of the Jammu Club to imbibe the habit of reading in themselves and encouraged the youth to reach and utilize the Library of the Club.
In the end, Raman Samnotra, Secretary Jammu Club presented the vote of thanks.
Shashi Bedi anchored the entire proceedings in an eloquent manner.
