NEW DELHI, Dec 1:
The Supreme Court today dismissed the bail application of self-styled godman Asaram Bapu in a rape case. Asaram is facing allegations of sexually assaulting a minor girl in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
An apex court bench, headed by Justice T S Thakur, while dismissing Asaram’s bail application noted that no ground was made out for grant of bail to him.
The apex court also disagreed with Asaram’s plea to grant him bail on health grounds, keeping in view his advanced age. (AGENCIES)
