London actor interacts with Natrang artists

JAMMU, Dec 2: Conor Whelan, an actor from London, held presentation and interaction with Natrang actors at Natrang Studio Theatre, here today.
Conor Whelan is a young performer, story teller, poet, clown, actor and playwright who came all way from London to interact with Natrang actors and presented demonstrations about his vision of theatre and acting.
On the occasion he was also honoured by Natrang Director Padamshree Balwant Thakur who in his speech expressed his heartiest gratitude to the visiting actor for having shared his vision of theatre and his new findings as an actor and creator.
After early performances such as a Seagull, Conor Whelan went on to study Literature and Theatre at Leeds University. Two of his plays were produced there, another at West Yorkshire Playhouse through Peepolykus’ The Ionian Enchantment. Acting took him to Edinburgh Fringe in Splinters of Light (4* Scotsman, Three Weeks).
First coming on board with Rambling Heart for the Three Week Window festival, Conor since been swept to London and continued his training at London International School of Performing Arts (LISPA). Alongside his work for Rambling Heart, he is also a freelance theatre-maker, is a workshop facilitator for Tall Tales, Tiny Tales and was a children’s entertainer for Nutty’s Parties.
In January, he will start a 5 month tour of schools in Italy, performing theatre to teach English. He performed ‘It All Came Out of This,’ a solo piece combining theatre and poetry.
Prominent among those who attended the interaction session include Anil Tickoo, Neeraj Kant, Subash Jamwal, Asheish Nijhawan, Sumeet Sharma, Abhishek Bharti, Mohd Yaseen, Aarushi Thakur, Vanshika Gupta, Mahikshit Singh, Rajan Thakyal, Ankush Lakhnotra, Masood Qadir and Pankaj Verma.
