SRINAGAR, Dec 4: Continuing with his election campaign, Dr Mustafa Kamaal addressed election rallies at Bona Bani, Divbugh, Mugahama, Katibugh, Nengarpora, Narapora and Kreshhama today.
He said the secular, democratic and socialistic character of J&K was under threat from communal and chauvinistic BJP Government in Delhi with declared agenda of targeting Muslim of the country in general and of J&K in particular.
Dr Kamaal appealed to the people that the only way to defeat the nefarious design is the rally behind National Conference in the present election because PDP, DPN, People’s Conference are mere pawns of BJP in this sordid game.
At all these places he gave the history of National Conference since its inception and 84 years of propounding the cause of the down trodden people of Kashmir who were sufferers of alleged oppression and suppression under Dogra rule.
He said National Conference also always represented the hopes and aspirations of the people and with the advent of democracy in 1947, National Conference saw to it that people are provided basic necessities of life like food, water, power, education, health and justice as also opportunities and avenues for an honourable livelihood like Tourism, Handicrafts , Industries. Thanks to National Conference policy and programmes J&K is a welfare State with people participation in every sphere and endeavors of life, he said.
