4 make abortive attempts on life

JAMMU, Dec 5: Four persons today made abortive bids on their lives by consuming some poisonous substance at their respective residences in different parts of Jammu region.
According to police sources, a woman namely Zathun Akther (20) wife of Sartaj Ali, resident of Basantpur (Kathua), today consumed some poisonous substance at her home following which she was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
Similarly, one young girl identified as Nita Kumari (25) daughter of Krishan Lal, a resident of Sungal in Akhnoor, also consumed some poisonous substance at her residence. She was immediately shifted to Government Hospital Akhnoor, from where later she was referred to GMCH Jammu.
In another case, Rajat (17) son of Yashpal Gill, a resident of Rajpura consumed some poisonous substance at his home after which he was shifted to Government Hospital, Sarwal but later he was referred to GMCH.
Badal (18) son of Vijay Singh, a resident of Dechak near Pounichak also consumed some poisonous substance following which he was shifted to GMCH.
The condition of all the four persons was stated to be stable till the last reports came in. In all cases, the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter and started investigations.
