JAMMU, Dec 5: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Mian Haji Saria seeking direction to the respondents to ensure compliance of fundamental rights of trans-genders in letter and spirit, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan today granted two weeks time to State for filing the policy for trans-genders.
When the PIL came up for hearing, Senior AAG Gagan Basotra sought time to file the policy prepared by the Government for the trans-genders.
After hearing Advocate DS Chouhan appearing for the PIL whereas Senior AAG Gagan Basotra for the State, DB granted week’s time to State for filing the policy for trans-genders.
