Copper eases on reduced industrial demand

 

NEW DELHI, Dec 6: Copper weakened by Rs 2 at the local non-ferrous market today due to reduced demand from consuming industries.

            Other metals such as nickel and lead, however, held steady.

            Traders said subdued demand from consuming industries mainly led to the decline in copper prices.

            In the national capital, copper mixed scrap shed Rs 2 to Rs 417 per kg.

            Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg):

            Zinc ingot 110-116, Nickel plate (4×4) 1,080-1,086, Gun metal scrap 227, Bell metal scrap 229, Copper mixed scrap 417, Chadri deshi 285.

            Lead ingot 100, Lead imported 101, Aluminium ingots 162, Aluminium sheet cutting 163, Aluminium wire scrap 165 and Aluminium utensils scrap 162. (PTI)
