Father, sons booked for cheating

JAMMU, Dec 6:  Crime Branch, Jammu has booked a father and his two sons for duping people by promising fake Army jobs in lieu of money.
A case FIR number 24/2014 under Section 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120-B RPC has been registered against Rattan Lal of village Chak Bakhtawar in R S Pura Jammu and his two sons Rakesh Kumar and Narinder Kumar for fraudulently preparing fictitious interview call letters and duping the complainants of their hard earned money to the tune of Rs 12.70 lakhs.
The case was registered on complaint of Sunny Bansotra of Rattian in R S Pura, Jammu and others who alleged that accused Rattan Lal and his two sons promised Government jobs for them as Clerks and Gardeners in Golf Course 162 Infantry Brigade Miran Sahib, Jammu in lieu of money amounting to Rs 12.70 lakhs.
The accused persons, after obtaining the demanded amount, also provided interview call letters, which appeared to be issued by the Commandant and Golf Secretary. However, when the complainants appeared before the Army, it came to fore that no such interview call letters were issued by the concerned authority as no such posts were available. Therefore, it came to the light that the call letters provided by the accused persons were fake, fictitious and fabricated having forged signatures and stamps etc.
After conducting an inquiry, the Crime Branch registered a case against the accused for further investigation.
