JAMMU, Dec 6: While on the one hand several crorepatis candidates are in the fray for the fifth phase of Assembly elections in 20 constituencies of Jammu, Rajouri and Samba districts going to polls on December 20, there is one Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate, who is contesting the elections with just Rs 21,000 in hand and no assets—movable or immovable at all.
BJP candidate from Nowshera constituency in Rajouri district and BJYM president Ravinder Kumar Raina is having cash of Rs 21,000 only including Rs 1,000 cash in bank. He is not having any immovable or movable assets.
Raina is the lone candidate from Nowshera and other constituencies of the State, who is fighting the election on the meager while his rivals in the constituency are crorepatis. A bachelor, Raina has spent several years as RSS `parcharak’ and was presently working as the State BJYM president and is committed and dedicated party worker.
