Srinagar, Dec 6: Police today beat up technical education students at Lal Chowk who were protesting against their institutes for “ruining their one precious year” by declaring them “fail” in their annual exams.
Shouting slogans and carrying placards, scores of students held a protest here
The students doing diploma in engineering courses alleged that the technical board is acting “insensitive” by declaring 90 per cent students as failed.
They said that they were told by technical board to fill revaluation forms. “But that is a time consuming process and the move is meant to mint the easy money,” they said.
As they were protesting and tried to block the road, police swung into actions and baton charged them.
