JAMMU, Dec 6: Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), MoS Prime Minister’s Office, Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, Atomic Energy and Space Dr Jitendra Singh termed the highest turnout in the first two phases of the Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir as BJP’s win over bullet by ballot.
While condemning the terror attacks on four towns of the State recently, Union Minister added that the highest turnout in the first two phases of the Assembly elections has frustrated terrorists and also anti-national elements, who were trying to disrupt the poll process in the State by indulging in such terror related activities.
Dr Singh added that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go ahead with his rallies in the State.
“People of Kashmir are looking forward to the PM’s visit. The campaigning has been unaffected irrespective of events”, he said, adding that people of Kashmir will not be cowed down by such terrorist related acts.
He said people of Jammu and Kashmir have seen a ray of hope in the new Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and they want to give BJP a chance to govern the State.
Dr Singh stated this while talking to reporters after releasing the Vijayeshwer Jantrie (Alamance) for the year 2015-16 here today. The function was organized by Vijayeshwer Jyotish Karayalaya, Bohri to mark the 233rd anniversary of its publication.
Describing “Vijayeshwer Jantri” as religious documents not only for Kashmiri Pandits, but whole Hindu community, Dr Singh remarked that those who are steadfast in faith also take refuge to Alamance before embarking upon any venture. He also added that the contribution by Jyotishi Kashi Nath and Jyotshi Prem Nath Shastri is immense.
On the occasion, Swami Pran Nath Gareeb and Swami Kumar Ji and Dr Agnishekhar were also present.
Dr Agnishekhar while speaking remarked that this Vijayeshwer Jantrie has become a household item in our homes, which ensures cultural bonds and our deep rooted ethos.
Earlier, Ashwani Chrangoo while presenting the welcome address delved deep into the services rendered meticulously by this Panchang from more than two decades and its family.
In the end, Dr Mammohan Jyotshi, Editor, Vijayeshwer Jantrie presented the vote of thanks.
Ramesh Hangloo, Sanjay Dhar, Sanjay Moza, Ashok Singh Manhas, Virender Raina and many other prominent personalities were also present on the occasion.
