JAMMU, Dec 7: The workers of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and National Conference (NC) clashed at village Chagda in tehsil Bishnah over some rivalry, resulting into injuries to three persons including a Sarpanch of BJP.
As per police sources, the workers of BJP and NC clashed at village Chagda, Bishnah over some old enmity, in which three BJP workers including a Sarpanch received head injuries.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where their condition was stated to be stable, when reports last came in.
The injured BJP workers have been identified as Vijay Saini (Sarpanch), Satpaul and Subhash, trio residents of village Chagda, Bishnah.
Acting swiftly, the police team from Bishnah police station led by Inspector Narinder Singh arrested the three NC workers involved in the offence. They have been identified as Nand Lal, Joginder Singh and Sanjeev, all residents of village Chagda, Bishnah.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Bishnah police station and investigation started.
