5 injured in road accidents

JAMMU, Dec 8: Five persons were injured in separate road accidents in different parts of Jammu region.
According to a police spokesperson, one Ajit Sharma son of Satpal Sharma and his pregnant wife, Sheetal Sharma, residents of Kathua, got minor injuries when the bike they were going on was hit by an army vehicle while overtaking at Chadwal falling under the jurisdiction of police station Rajbagh.
In another incident, a scooter rider namely Ajay Thappa (49) son of Ved Prakash, a resident of Gandhi Nagar received serious injuries when his scooty got slipped at University Road.
A person was also got injured at Londhi Morh near Ghagwal when his bike was hit by an army vehicle. The injured person has been identified as Kuldeep Raj (45) son of Krodh Singh, a resident of Harsa in Samba.
In another accident a youth namely Sourav Sharma (26) son of Des Kumar Sharma, a resident of Garigarh, got injured when the scooty he was riding on was hit by a car at Garigarh.
In all cases, the injured persons have been shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for treatment and the concerned police have taken cognizance of the matter.
