NAGROTA, Dec 8: Advocate Vilakshan Singh, State general secretary, Youth Wing of J&K National Panthers Party and contesting candidate from Nagrota Assembly constituency  has appealed the voters to vote for the sake of development because in spite of having been given the opportunity, all the previous MLAs failed to develop the constituency of Nagrota due to which the Nagrota constituency, which is just adjacent to the winter capital of Jammu, has remained neglected on all fronts.
“The indifference especially shown by the NC- Congress coalition besides by the sitting BJP MLA is heartening and can be gauged from the fact that the tourism potential of the Nagrota Constituency was never utilized by the parties in power in order to propagate their hidden agenda to keep the Jammu region underdeveloped so much so that places of historic and religious importance such as Surinsar Lake, Sahwa Mata, Nabhi Mata and Bhed Devta have been ignored”.
Singh emphasized to the gathering, adding that Nagrota constituency is being used by the parties for political tourism and all the recognized parties, except J&K National Panthers Party, have fielded those candidates who are not the voters of the constituency.
Addressing the gathering Vilakshan Singh highlighted the contributions of the National Panthers Party for the welfare of Jammu region, adding that it was the only party which voluntarily left the Government for the sake of Jammu region in the year 2005 when the demand of delimitation of constituencies in the State was not met by the then Government.
Vilakshan Singh has assured the electorate, that if elected, he will leave no stone unturned to develop the Nagrota constituency as the model constituency of the State.
