Ravinder asks people to remain vigilant against BJP

JAMMU, Dec 9: PCC general secretary and Congress candidate from Nowshera, Ravinder Sharma conducted series of meetings at Lamberi, Bhatta, Thalka, Kamila, Qila Darhal, Lam and other adjoining areas of his constituency and sought public support.
He was accompanied by chairman campaign Committee Nowshera, Subash Kapoor, Jagdish Sahni (President Sanatan Dharam Sabha), Ashok Sharma- Trade Unionist, Darbari Shah, Ch Khaleel Ahmed, Rattan Singh, Isher Singh, Charan Singh, Capt Kuldeep Singh, Hem Raj and other prominent leaders of Nowshera.
While addressing meetings Mr Sharma cautioned the people against the communal and divisive forces and highlighted the important role played by Congress party in the pre and post-independence era, especially in the J&K state. He asked the party workers to be vigilant against the false and vicious propaganda of BJP and other political parties in the state. He asked them to work for the strengthening of the party at the grass root level.
Mr Sharma said that BJP and some political parties are trying to divide and polarize people of the state, particularly the people of Jammu region only for their vested interests. “ I am very happy that the people have understood their cheap game plan and are ready to vote with sagacity and wisdom to carry forward the agenda of Congress party,” the MLC added.
While interacting with the people he also listened their grievances and said that there is need to further accelerate the process of progress and development in the Nowshera  constituency and said that if elected, he will left no stone unturned to convert the Nowshera into a model and well developed constituency of the State. He made a passionate appeal the people to caste their vote  in favour of a right candidate.
Earlier, a meeting of Congress leaders of Nowshera was held at Nowshera town to discuss the strategy of gearing up District, Block & Ward Committees for the ongoing Assembly elections and the leaders suggested various ways and means to ensure victory of the party candidates. It was decided that Subash Kapoor, ex-chairman MC Nowshera will head the campaign committee of tehsil Nowshera.
