Two BSF men go missing after vehicle got washed away

JAMMU, July 26: A BSF officer and a constable today went missing after their vehicle was washed away by a flash flood in Rajouri district.
The incident occurred when Deputy Commandant Tarun Gupta and constable-driver Uday Kumar were travelling to Sundarbani from Nowshera early this morning, a BSF spokesperson said in Delhi.
The flash flood washed away the Maruti Gypsy in which the duo were travelling while crossing a rivulet at Seri in Rajouri district.
Rescue teams of Army and BSF personnel later found the vehicle a few hundred metres away from the spot but Gupta and Kumar were missing, the spokesperson said.
According to officials, the incident occurred when the duo was patrolling in the area near the forward belt along the Indo-Pak border.
