Congress entered poll arena on development plank: Bhalla

JAMMU, Dec 10: Minister for Culture, Horticulture and Housing and Congress candidate Raman Bhalla appealed to the residents of Gandhi Nagar Constituency to strengthen the Congress party, which is committed to development, peace, prosperity and brotherhood in the State.
He asserted that the party’s agenda has always been holistic development of the State in general and Gandhi Nagar constituency in particular.
Minister urged the people to vote in his favour for another stint so that the pace of development in the constituency may be carry forward.
Referring to creation of additional administrative units, Bhalla said these have brought the administration to the door steps of the people who had to travel a long distance for their grievances to be heard.
Minister stated this while addressing series of election meetings in Gangyal, Greater Kailash, Malik Market, Nanak Nagar, Valmiki Colony, Qasim Nagar, Rahim Nagar and Sainik Colony areas in Gandhi Nagar Constituency.
He assured that if his party is voted to power again, a new phase of development will be started in the Gandhi Nagar Constituency as the party gives the priority to the peace, prosperity and development of the State.
“Congress has entered the poll arena on the strength of development plank and would emerge with thumping majority to form the next Government in the State to serve the people”, he added.
Without naming any political party, some of the political parties are exploiting the poor people and down trodden sections of the society by showing them such dreams, which they cannot fulfill, Minister said, adding that these decisive forces are dream sellers and hollow slogan mongers as the leaders of these parties just appear during electioneering and after elections they disappear.
Bhalla asked the people to make best use of their vote in the forthcoming Assembly elections to elect honest, dedicated and people friendly representative.
