JAMMU, Dec 10:  The maturity shown by the people of Jammu and Kashmir in Assembly election has clearly indicated that they have a strong faith in democratic process through which they are committed to bring a pragmatic change in the State Government.
This was stated by  former Minister and spokesperson of the Peoples Democratic Party-Sardar Rangil Singh while addressing the media just after the conclusion of third phase of Assembly election. Singh eulogized the people of Kashmir for generously participating in the biggest democratic process of the country least caring for freezing cold and other hardships.
Mr  Singh said that unending queues of voters clearly indicated that the people are aware of the power of their votes which will bring an immediate positive change in the State.
Asserting that the efforts of some political parties to cause division of votes have been defeated and credited electorates for these efforts, Mr Singh said the people have totally rejected the dictums of vested interests fighting for gaining power only. He said that people have used election platforms to change the Government and the existing system as also to achieve wider political and economic objectives.
Complementing the youth for their progressive, democratic and positive approach towards the welfare of the State, Rangil Singh asked them to come in large numbers and practice their franchise in favour of good governance.
The elections are vital for having a people friendly Government committed to democratic development of all regions & sub regions for which the three years PDP Government’s credibility stands exposed.
