JAMMU, Dec 10: A man was held along with poppy straw (bhukki) from Neri area of police station Miran Sahib.
As per police sources, a police team from Miran Sahib police station laid a naka at Neri and intercepted a person on suspicious grounds.
During checking, police recovered 500 grams poppy straw and arrested the accused, who has been identified as Jatinder Kumar, a resident of Badyal Brahmana, RS Pura.
A case under FIR number 133/14 under Section 8/15 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Miran Sahib police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Miran Sahib police station SI Mohammad Iqbal Chagatta made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Devinder Singh.
