Civil Aviation MoS finds AI booking office unclean on visit

NEW DELHI, Dec 11:
Minister of State for Civil Aviation Mahesh Sharma today paid a surprise visit at Air India’s booking office here and found several absentees and the place littered.
Sharma, who visited the office soon after it opened for the day, found several staffers absent from duty, official sources said, adding that he also pointed towards “uncleanliness” in the airline’s reservation office.
The Minister also spoke to the employees present and told them to work together to strengthen the airline as the government was trying to put Air India back on track and beef up its financial and operational strengths, the sources said.
Asked whether any action was being considered against those staffers who were either absent or late, they said any such decision would be taken after due consideration. (PTI)
