JAMMU, Dec 11: Divisional Commissioner Shantmanu today convened a meeting of officers of district administration and representatives from Anjuman-e-Imamia to review Chehlum arrangements to be observed on December 13.
The meeting was attended by Joint Commissioner, JMC, Kapil Sharma, SP North, S K Chouhan, Deputy Director Information (Hq) Priyanka Bhat, President Anjuman-e-Imamia Syed Amarat Ali Shah, Secretary Shughuat Khan besides officers from PHE, PDD and other allied departments.
The meeting was informed that procession will start from Peer Mitha and will culminate at Karbala Complex.
Divisional Commissioner directed all the concerned departments to gear up their men and machinery for the smooth conduct of holy procession.
He asked the JMC to ensure cleanliness and availability of water tankers enroute procession and also at Karbala Complex for the convenience of devotees.
Besides, Traffic and Police Departments were asked to make adequate arrangements of security and traffic management.
Divisional Commissioner asked the Health Department to keep available ambulances along the procession with mobile medical teams.
The Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned department for repair of faulty high mask lights enroute procession and also at Karbala Complex.
