JAMMU, Dec 13: Reiterating its promise to work for the development and upliftment of the down trodden and weaker sections of the society, former Minister and Congress party candidate from Suchetgarh Assembly constituency, R S Chib said that he will strive hard for the overall development of the constituency if voted to power.
Chib said that it is unfortunate that under the incumbent MLA, the border people are suffering for the basic amenities like roads, power supply and water connectivity. He said this while addressing meetings at Talarh and other areas of Suchetgarh.
Chib said that Congress Government in center as well as state has always worked for bringing equality among all the casts and communities of the country especially in Jammu and Kashmir. He further said that Congress is known for its commitment of equality among all sections of the society for which it will continue its fight whether it will be in power or opposition.
“I appeal voters to vote for Congress in the State assembly elections for the all round development of the border constituency”, Chib said.
“I promise that the infrastructure for the Tehsil would be constructed at a central and convenient and acceptable place to all so that have not to cover long distances for addressal of their grievances.
“As far as the majority Jat population of the teshil is concerned, it is my commitment that if I will be elected to power, all the burning issues of Jat community would be highlighted for an immediate solution”, said Chib.
He said that the Jat community in the constituency is mostly refugees who had migrated from the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir and present day Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) who are fighting since long for their inclusion in the OBC category which is already granted in states like Rajasthan and Haryana.
“I assure that jat community in the state would be included in the OBC category and the same would be the priority of his and Congress government in the state”, Chib added.
