Political parties failed to mitigate grievances of PoJK refugees: Sanjay Gupta

JAMMU, Dec 13: Strongly condemning the Central Government’s action of sending back proposed rehabilitation package, recommended by the State Government for refugees of PoJK, Sanjay Gupta, President Mirpur Mahajan Sabha and independent candidate from Jammu West constituency while addressing a meeting said that all the political parties have failed to mitigate grievance and sufferings of PoJK pending for the past 67 years.
Gupta added that all the displaced families felt highly dejected on the BJP Government in the centre of sending back proposed package.
“It took 67 years long period to convince J&K Government to formulate package and forward it to Government of India, led by BJP but with one stroke of pen, the Union Government returned the package”, he lamented.
Gupta said that every successive Government had used the community for vote bank and nobody has done anything to mitigate their sufferings.
He warned political parties to desist from befooling innocent displaced people from Pak occupied Jammu Kashmir, who are demanding their due right of permanent settlement.
He said that in Assembly elections the community is going to teach a lesson to all so called sympathizers of the community. With the support of the community he will strongly take up this issue and bring a change in the Jammu West if voted to victory, Gupta added.
