UMEED conducts workshop on SHG-Bank Linkage

JAMMU, Dec 13: One day workshop on SHG-Bank Linkage was organized by JKSRLM (UMEED), Jammu in which Bankers from various regions of Jammu, Samba, Rajouri, Kathua, Udhampur, Doda and Kishtwar participated.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Shantmanu, chaired the workshop and expressed his satisfaction on the progress made by UMEED so for. Senior level functionaries and bank managers of RBI, SBI, J&K Bank, EDB, PNB, Cooperative Banks and NABARD participated in the workshop. BPMs from various blocks of UMEED and Community members also participated in the workshop.
Farooq Ahmed Peer, State Mission Director, UMEED gave the inaugural remarks and shared with the bankers about the progress under UMEED, made so far. He said that till date 6 crores of Bank loans to around 1200 SHGs has been disbursed.
A K Angural from RBI shared the presentation on frame work for SHG bank linkage and Ranbir Singh, GM, NABARD gave the presentation on experience in SHG Bank Linkage.  Rajan Babu, from National Mission Management Unit (NMMU), Delhi gave the presentation on Block Level Planning for SHG-Bank linkage.
Dr  Yogita Rana,  State Representative NRLM shared community perspective on SHG bank linkage and shared community experiences with the bankers.
