JAMMU, Dec 13: National Conference candidate from Marh Assembly constituency, Ajay Sadhotra today addressed a series of public meetings in villages Budhu Chak, Simbli, Shamachak, Chatha Gujjran, Gho Manhasan and Raipur Jagir.
During his addresses to the gatherings in these villages, Mr Sadhotra said that the National Conference was committed to uplift the poor and down trodden sections of the society. “The downtrodden and poor are such sections of population who are subjected to deprivation in matters like livelihood, employments, earnings, property, education, minimum consumption etc,” he said and added that the National Conference was committed to give fillip to socio-economic status of such section by providing them equal opportunities of growth.
“The National Conference took historic initiatives to empower weaker sections and improved their status in the society and would continue the same with high principles of humanism and sincere service to the poor and down trodden sections of the society,” Mr Sadhotra said and also referred to the historic land reform measures taken by National Conference.
During the meetings, a number of workers from other political parties of different villages joined the National Conference and assured that they would work hard to strengthen the party.
Among others, who also spoke on the occasion, include Kashmira Singh, Narinder Singh Sarpanch, Ch Keemat Lal Sarpanch, Subash Sharma Sarpanch, Kasturi Lal Sharma, Ch Naagar, Surinder Singh, Devi Dass, Mohan Singh and R P Sharma.
