NSF flays Govt for power cuts, water scarcity

JAMMU, July 26: National Secular Forum (NSF) today flayed the State Government for failing to redress the problems with regard to unscheduled power cuts, water scarcity etc faced by the people of the Jammu region.
Addressing a press conference, Dr Vikas Sharma, State NSF president, said that the present Coalition Government has proved as complete failure at all fronts whether it be education, power, water etc.
Taking a dig at the Jammu based Ministers and MLAs , Sharma stated that people of the winter capital are reeling under unscheduled power cuts in this scorching heat and humid weather conditions, but no one from the Government has bothered to listen to the grievances of the people, not to talk of taking initiatives with regard to making lasting solution of these problems.
Lambasting the State Government for its indifferent treatment towards the people of Jammu, Dr Sharma said that Government is least bothered for unscheduled power cuts, which has affected the water supply also.
Meanwhile, he further said that the students are facing lots of problems due to non-starting of the courses in the Jammu Central University, which was made functional in the year 2009.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Sukhdev Sigh, Balveer Kumar, Chiman Singh, Surjeet Choudhary and Ravi Choudhary.
