NC committed to upliftment of poor, down trodden: Sadhotra

JAMMU. Dec 14: Senior National Conference (NC) leader and contesting candidate from Marh Assembly constituency Ajay Sadhotra while continuing and intensifying the election campaign, addressed a series of public meetings in villages Budhu Chak, Simbli, Shamachak, Chatha Gujjran, Gho Manhasan and Raipur Jagir in Marh Assembly constituency.
During his address to the largely attended gatherings in these villages, he said that the NC is committed to uplift the poor and down trodden sections of the society, adding that downtrodden and poor are such sections of population which are subjected to deprivation in livelihood, employments, earnings, property, education, minimum consumption etc.
Sadhotra added it is the commitment of the National Conference to give fillip to their socio-economic status where they would have equal opportunities of growth.
NC took historic initiatives to empower weaker sections and improved their status in the society and would continue the same with high principles of humanism and sincere service to the poor and down trodden sections of the society and also referred to the historic land reform measures taken by National Conference where under poor peasants were made owners of agricultural land over night without paying a penny, he added.
