Arrangements for Kailash Kund yatra discussed

UDHAMPUR, July 26: Additional District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Ram Rattan Sharma   on Thursday  discussed necessary arrangements for 3-day annual Kailash Kund yatra commencing from August 14, 2012, in tehsil Ramnagar (Dudu) of Udhampur district,
The meeting held threadbare discussions on various issues pertaining to smooth conduct of the yatra which included supply of essential commodities, installation of drinking water points at different locations enroute base camp at Dudu to Seoj Dhar, proper medicare, provision of tents and blankets, deployment of NYK volunteers and transport facilities etc.
Sub Divisional Magistrate, Dudu-Basantgrah,  Krishan Sharma was appointed as Yatra Officer  who would supervise over all arrangements from base camp, Dudu to Kalaish Kund and would also establish a control room at Dudu to ensure   smooth conduct of the yatra.
The concerned Tehsildar was also directed to camp at Seoj Dhar base camp to ensure comfortable stay of yatries and provision of essential commodities.
The Nehru YuvaKendra would keep their 10 volunteers at the disposal of Nodal Officer of the yatra to facilitate the pilgrimage. Besides, ARTO, Udhampur was asked to make additional buses available from different routes leading to Dudu for the convenience of the yartris.
The ADDC directed the heads of concerned departments to put in place all the arrangements well in advance for the smooth conduct of the yatra so that the yatris may not face any  inconvenience.
