Sangpriya Gautam gets Babu Parmanand National Award

JAMMU, Dec 16: Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Academy (BDSA) awarded Babu Parmanand National Award to Sangpriya Gautam, former Union Minister and an associate of Dr BR Ambedkar.
Sangpriya Gautam, a prolific speaker is 83 years old and has worked relentlessly for the upliftment of weaker sections of the society.
The award was given by Ram Vilas Paswan, Union Minister in presence of Charanjit Singh Atwal, Speaker of Punjab Legislative Assembly, Satya Narain Jatia, MP, ML Ranga, VC and others during 30th All India Dalit Writer’s Conference held at Delhi recently.
The two day function was presided over by Dr SP Sumnakashar, president, BDSA and the proceedings were conducted by Acharya RL Sonagra, reputed Hindi and Marathi Dalit writer from Pune.
