Srinagar, Dec 17: Militants tonight fired at and critically injured a People’s Democratic Party (PDP) worker at Parimpora area of Srinagar city.
Police said a PDP worker, Tariq Ahmad Baba son of Ghulam Mohammad of Barthana Qamarwari, was shot at by militants near Fruit Mandi, Parimpora at around 8:30 pm.
The militants fled after carrying out the attack leaving Baba in critical condition. He was shifted to SKIMS Soura and his condition is stated to be critical.
Army, police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) cordoned off the area and launched the hunt to nab the militants responsible for the attack.
