BHADERWAH, Dec 17: Expressing their anguish, people from village Kotli held protest against Power Development Department (PDD) for not providing regular power supply.
The residents from village Kotli assembled at Shiv Nagar Chowk and blocked the vehicular movement on Bhaderwah-Doda road. They also burnt the tyres.
The protestors raised slogans against the Power Development Department (PDD) for not providing regular power supply.
They alleged the transformer installed in their village got damaged around one week back but was not replaced till date.
Due to the non-availability of regular power supply, people especially old age and students are facing problems, they stated.
“We informed the PDD about the damaged transformer, but they did not pay any heed forcing us to come on roads”, they added.
On getting information, police and PDD officials rushed to the spot and assured the people that their issue will be redressed at the earliest.
After the assurance, the protestors dispersed and vehicular movement was restored.
