JAMMU, Dec 18: The inhabitants of Panchayat Halqa Karrad of village Hardollian are facing many problems on account of development due to non-inclusion of the area in district Samba.
The village Hardollian was segregated from tehsil Samba and included in tehsil Majalta of district Udhampur in the year 2007 when new district was created.
The residents of the village agitated this matter before all the concerned addresses including DC Udhampur and DC Samba and both have given their consent that the village has to be included in district Samba as it was earlier.
Both the Deputy Commissioners forwarded their consent to the Divisional Commissioner, Jammu and Financial Commissioner (Revenue), who in turn forwarded the matter to the Commissioner Secretary, Revenue Department,
When no action was taken in this regard, a writ petition was filed before the High Court, which on September 9, 2014 directed Chief Secretary and Commissioner Secretary Revenue Department to take final decision regarding inclusion of the village in district Samba preferably within six weeks.
However, no decision has been taken till date thereby creating resentment among the people.
