Sonia Gandhi stable; recovering well, say doctors

NEW DELHI :  Congress president Sonia Gandhi, who was admitted to the Sir Gangaram Hospital here last night for treatment of infection in lower respiratory tract, is stable  and recovering well, doctors attending on her said today.
“Congress president Sonia Gandhi was admitted to the Sir  Gangaram hospital yesterday evening with lower respiratory tract infection and some breathing difficulty for further treatment and observation.
“Her condition is stable and she is recovering well,” Dr Ajay Swaroop, Chairman (officiating) Board of Management at hospital said in a statement.
Ms Gandhi is admitted under the care of Dr Arup Kumar Basu, senior consultant and chairman of respiratory medicine department, and his team.
