SRINAGAR, Dec.20: The Jammu and Kashmir Bank today provided Currency Chest facility at Kulgam for the convenience of the bank customers.
Bank’s Executive Director, Parvez Ahmed inaugurated the Currency Chest Complex facility amid an impressive gathering of customers, senior citizens and representatives of the district trade bodies today. Prominent among others present on the occasion included Bank’s President M S Wani, Bank’s Zonal Head for Kashmir South Mushtaq Ahmed Mir and Cluster Head Kulgam, Shabir Ahmed Malik.
Mr Parvez in his address said that people’s loyalty to brand J&K Bank stems from Bank’s commitment to serve all irrespective of their social status or location. “This commitment has been tested many times as was the case during the recent floods”, he said, adding “People judge us by what we do; our business performance and our contribution to society”.
“The Chest will service 24 business units of the Kulgam and its adjoining areas. The facility will vastly improve the cash management system by addressing related issues and as such will add to the convenience of our esteemed customers”, he said.
Under service sector area will be specially catered to and the Bank’s clean note policy shall be strictly pursued at the Chest, he added.
Earlier, Zonal Head Mushtaq Ahmad Mir in his welcome address described opening of Currency Chest in Kulgam as a dream come true. The function concluded with presentation of vote of thanks by the Cluster Head Shabir Malik.
