JAMMU, Dec 20: On the martyrdom day of Ashfaqulla Khan and Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil, who laid their lives for the country, NSF paid rich tributes to the martyrs.
A programe in this connection was organized at Jammu University wherein portraits of the martyrs were garlanded and tributes were paid.
Speaking on the occasion, NSF president Sukhdev Singh recalled the spirit of nationalism of those martyrs, who laid their life for the country. He stressed upon the youth to follow the ideas of these patriots.
Pandit Ram Prasad Bismil was an active member of Arya Samaj Saharanpur and Ashfaq was a devout Muslim but both of them had the common objective of a free and united India and this mission brought them together, Sukhdev explained.
Qayoom Malik, University president of NSF, and others also spoke on this occasion.
