LONDON : The IS has killed more than 100 of its foreign fighters in the Syrian city of Raqqa who were trying to quit, according to media reports.
The foreign fighters were attempting to flee the extremist group’s headquarters.
The Jehadis, who had joined the Islamic State, were not satisfied with the way the terror organisation worked. According to sources, the IS has constituted a ‘military police’ to monitor the duty of foreign fighters. Search operations, raids are conducted to nab the fighters. According to British newspapers in October, five fighters from Britain, three from Germany, two from France and two Belgians wanted to return back after they ended up battling against other rebel groups rather than Assad’s regime. After this, the fighters were arrested when they tried to return back. Experts from the London based King’s College claimed that around 40-50 Britishers want to return back home but are lacking an opportunity.
