JAMMU, Dec 22: State Vigilance Organization has concluded investigation into one more FIR lodged in infamous Roshni land scam.
According to the official spokesman, pursuant to a complaint, verification was conducted into the allegation of granting illegal benefit in regularization of State land under Roshni Act.
“The verification has prima-facie established the offences under Sections 5(1)(d) read with 5(2) of Jammu and Kashmir Prevention of Corruption Act, Section 120-B RPC and Section 17 of State Land (Vesting of Ownership to Occupants) Act, 2001”, the spokesman said, adding consequently FIR No. 6/2014 was registered on February 26, 2014 against the officers and officials of Revenue Department and Jammu Development Authority.
The Vigilance Organization completed the investigation of the case as proved against the officers and officials of Revenue Department and beneficiary. “The case has been submitted to State Vigilance Commission”, the spokesman added.
