JAMMU, Dec 23: In the much publicized class IV backdoor appointments case, Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur today extended the interim direction whereby it was stated that the Chief Executive Officer Jammu shall not be arrested.
After hearing Senior Advocate BS Salathia with Advocate Meenakshi Salathia appearing for the applicant, Justice Thakur observed that neither Senior AAG Gagan Basotra has appeared nor he has filed the objections.
“On the last date of hearing, on account of pendency of present bail application which has already been heard in part, the investigating officer assured court that he will not arrest the petitioner till Monday, but he is not present today”, High Court said and directed for listing of bail application on December 29, 2014. High Court also extended the interim direction.
