JAMMU, Dec 24: Governor N N Vohra today conveyed to the Union Minister of Law and Justice his endorsement and the agreement of the State Government to the recommendations of Chief Justice of India for the appointment of Justice N N Paul Vasanthakumar as the next Chief Justice of Jammu and Kashmir High Court.
Justice Paul is the senior most judge of Madras High Court.
The Governor has also, through a separate communication to the Union Minister for Law and Justice, conveyed his endorsement and the agreement of the State Government to the Chief Justice of India’s proposal for the transfer of Justice Bawa Singh Walia, Additional Judge, Punjab and Haryana High Court to the Jammu and Kashmir High Court.
