KATHUA, Dec 24: Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Kathua, Dr Manoj Bhagat was today caught red handed while taking bribe by the sleuths of Vigilance Organization Jammu (VOJ).
According to a spokesman of the Organization, the Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Kathua was caught red handed by its sleuths while demanding Rs 20,000 as illegal gratification from Sunil Sharma a supplier for releasing his pending payments against medical supplies to the Hospital.
Sharma made a complaint with VOJ who laid a trap of Dr Bhagat today and caught him red handed while accepting the bribe.
The Vigilance has registered a case FIR No34/2014 Under Section 5(1), (d), 5 (2) P C Act 2006 read with 161 RPC at Police Station Vigilance Jammu against Dr Bhagat. The police is further investigating the matter, spokesman said.
