JAMMU, Dec 25: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by practicing lawyer Parimoksh Seth seeking directions to the respondents to implement the provisions of the Prevention of Beggary Act, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur today directed Commissioner Secretary Social Welfare Department to file response.
After hearing petitioner in person, the DB observed, “in response to the directions, contained in earlier order response has not been filed”. Accordingly, DB directed Commissioner Secretary Social Welfare Department to ensure compliance of the order.
