AIBCU demands reservation benefit

JAMMU, Dec 26: All India Backward Classes Union (AIBCU) Social in its meeting here, today held under the chairmanship of its president Abdul Majid Malik, has expressed the hope that new Government will not behave like NC and Congress.
The meeting said that previous Government totally betrayed the OBCs in the State after not implementing the 27 percent reservation for them.
Taking the undue advantage of Article 370, the previous State Government denied the benefit of the reservation to OBCs and it has led to a lot of resentment among the community, the meeting added.
The meeting expressed the hope that the new Government which will be formed in the State will not take the undue advantage of Article 370 and dispensate justice to OBCs in the State who have been deprived of the same for years together.
The meting said that mere talking of development without social justice will be meaningless and no political party can afford to ignore the major chunk of the State population.
Abdul Rasool Malik, Khadim Hussain, K D Dalmotra Master Sain Dass, Puran Chargotra, H D Betab, Prof Kali Dass, Ghulam Rasool Najar and others attended the meeting.
