JAH concerned over rising crimes against women

Srinagar, Dec 28: Jamiat Ahle Hadith, a socio-religious organization today expressed concern over the rising crimes against women in the State and asked the authorities to bring the culprits to justice.
President JAH, Sheikh Ghulam Mohammad told reporters here that the organization is concerned over the crimes perpetrated against the women in the State.
A woman was raped and killed in Pulwama and a law student was attacked  with acid by a youth in old city of Srinagar.
Mohammad said such gruesome crimes against the daughters are worrying for us all and the society should rise to the occasion and put a stop to such incidents.
“We are grieved over the brutality, abduction, and the grave exploitation against women. We want that the perpetrators of such crimes be dealt as per law so that our daughters don’t fell prey to these vicious elements in the society,” he said.
The organization also expressed concern over the “fatal” forced conversion in the country.
He said that the organistaion will support people of the State to rebuild their lives after the devastating floods.
He also criticized the Government over the “undue” delay in passing the Bill on Trans-world Muslim University in the Assembly.
