Host Utter Pradesh were 267 for five on the second day of the Ranji Trophy group A league match as bad weather continue to play a spoilsport for the second day in the crucial match against Jammu and Kashmir at the Green Park stadium here today.
Resuming from 113 for no loss, the first wicket fell at 121 but the highlight of today’s match was Leg Before Wicket(LBW) wicket of UP opener Tanmay Srivastava at his individual score of 99.
Other opener Aakash Verma scored 57 runs just adding 2 runs from his overnight score.
At the stumps on the second day, when just 49 overs were bowled due to bad weather, Arish Alam with 38 and Eklavya Dwivedi on 23 were at the crease.
For J&K, Wasim Raza was the most successful bowler getting two wickets for 43 runs while Samiullah Begh, Ram Dayal and Parvej Rashool got one wicket each.
UP with 6 points are lagging behind in the points table and J&K sitting very comfortable with nine points. In the last match UP lost to Mumbai while J&K had beaten them earlier. (AGENCIES)
