Jammu, Dec 31: Chief Justice of State High Court, Justice M M Kumar today inaugurated Alternate Disputes Redressal (ADR) Centre at Jammu.
The ADR centre inaugurated by Justice Kumar, who is Patron-in-Chief of State Legal Services Authority, was constructed at a cost of Rs one crore.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Justice highlighted the importance of ADR mechanism and the results such centres have yielded till date.
In the programme, Justice Muhammad Yaqoob Mir, Executive Chairman, State Legal Services Authority, Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur, Justice Bansi Lal Bhat, Justice Janak Raj Kotwal, Registrar General Suresh Kumar Sharma and officers of the Registry were present.
The Principal District Judge Jammu along with other judicial officers too attended the inaugural function.
On the occasion, the judicial officers were impressed to make full use of these centres in order to guide and help the general public to settle their disputes through alternate redressal system.
