SRINAGAR, Jan 2:
Apparently referring to recent skirmish at the border with Pakistan, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today said if PDP chief Mufti Mohammad Sayeed’s possible alliance with BJP was based on “dream” of early resumption of Indo-Pak dialogue then it was “crashing”.
“Call me a cynic but I can’t shake the scepticism,” Omar said.
“If Mufti’s BJP alliance hinges on an early resumption of the Indo-Pak dialogue, then the sound you hear are his dreams crashing to the floor,” Omar, who is in London, wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
The outgoing chief minister was apparently referring to the incidents of ceasefire violation by Pakistani Rangers along the border in Samba sector of the State that led to death of a BSF jawan and injuries to two persons including a civilian.
Four Pakistani rangers were also killed in BSF’s retaliatory action. (AGENCIES)
