SRINAGAR, Jan 4: Police today recovered dead body of a youth from a stream a day after he went missing.
Police said that dead body identified that of Umar Ishaq Mir son of Mohammad Ishaq resident of Nowpora Tujar was recovered from Nallah Tujar, Sopore in North Kashmir district of Baramulla this morning.
Police quoting Mohammad Ishaq, father of the dead youth, said that the deceased did not return to his home last evening and his family members started searching for him.
“Today morning his body was found. There is a small scratch on the head. Some empty syringes and pain killer injections have been found near the body”, police said.
Police has taken cognizance and launched the investigation.
Mohammad Ishaq is Sarpanch of the village and a Congress worker.
